Cairngorms National Park Fire Management Byelaws 2025: EIR release
Information request and response under the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004
Information requested
Please send me the following information about the process whereby you (the Scottish Ministers) confirmed the above byelaws:
1. Briefing papers: copies of any paper by officials to Ministers concerning the byelaws.
2. Objections: copies of all objections received to the byelaws.
3. Consideration of objections: copies of all documents showing how you took account of objections received to the byelaws.
4. Confirmation: copies of all documents showing that you confirmed the byelaws, whether you made any modifications to them before confirmation, the date you confirmed them and the date you fixed for them to come into operation.
5. Communications with Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA): copies of all correspondence (including letters, emails and text messages), recordings and/or minutes of meetings and notes of phone- or video-calls between officials or Ministers and CNPA officials.
Response
I have included copies of the information you have requested in Annex B.
On reviewing materials within the scope of your request, exceptions have been applied in line with the EIRs. The exceptions applied can be found in Annex A.
