How much the Scottish Government spent on social media advertising to promote the constitutional paper published on 4 September 2025 entitled “Your Right to Decide” and asked that costs were broken down by spending on different social media platforms. You also asked for details on any other spending on advertising/marketing/promotion for this paper.

Response

The total budget, excluding VAT for the social media advertising for the 'Your Right to Decide' constitutional paper is £10,000 (excluding VAT). The social advertising is currently live and will run until early October. Final costs will be confirmed on completion.

Meta: £6,136.90
LinkedIn: £1,541.91
YouTube: £2,212.39

Including media industry levies the total cost for the work is £10,000 (excluding VAT).

No other costs have been incurred for the advertising/marketing/promotion for this paper.
