Information requested

1) A list of all independent schools that have withdrawn from Scottish Teachers' Pensions Scheme (STPS) to the present date or date when FOI is actioned.

2) A list of any new independent schools who have intentions to withdraw from the STPS to the present date or date when FOI actioned.

3) A list of all those independent schools that remain within the STPS to the present date or date when FOI actioned.

4) A list of all independent schools that operate phased withdrawal from the STPS to the present date or date when FOI actioned.

Response

1. Detailed below is a list of the independent schools that have withdrawn from the Scottish Teachers' Pensions Scheme (STPS) to the present date. As a time period was not stated in the request, we have provided details of those schools who have withdrawn within the last 2 years.

2. To date, no further independent schools have formally notified SPPA of their intention to withdraw from the STPS.
