Publishing delay of the Government spend reports query: FOI release

Information requested
Can you please send me details of why the Government spend over 25k reports have not been updated since February. The reports already lag about 5 months behind but now they appear to be a whole year behind. Please send any details about how and why the reports are being delayed including correspondences about the release of October 2024, November 2024, December 2024, January 2025, February 2025 and March 2025 reports between Government Staff and/or MSPs and Ministers.
Response
The introduction of a new Scottish Government financial system on 1 October 2024 enabled a redesign of processes. The process to compile the reporting on Scottish Government expenditure over £25,000 was reviewed and revised and a new suite of reports implemented. The introduction of the new system has been a focus for Finance resource over the past year, and the small team who lead on this reporting has also had reduced capacity recently. These factors led to the delay in publication of the Government spend over £25,000 reports you reference.
I attach a copy of the correspondence about the release of these reports.
The reports up to June 2025 are also now published on the Scottish Government website and the next tranche of reports will be published by the end of December 2025.
