Suicide deaths in Scotland statistics: FOI release

You asked for the 2024 deaths by suicide and for them split by district.

Most of the information you have requested is available from National Records of Scotland https://www.nrscotland.gov.uk/publications/probable-suicides-2024/ 

Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you. However, I thought it might be helpful to share that in 2024 there were 704 probable deaths in Scotland. National Records of Scotland have also uploaded a series of data tables one of which is deaths by council area.

If, however, you are unable to access this information via the website(s) listed, then please contact me again and I will send you a paper copy.
