Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002
Information requested
1. The number of pupils achieving five or more awards at SCQF Level 6 or above, separated into:
a. Pupils whose awards are made up of SQA National Qualifications at SCQF Level 6(Highers and equivalent).
b. Pupils whose awards include other SCQF Level 6 qualifications (e.g. Foundation Apprenticeships, National Progression Awards, etc).
2. The corresponding percentages of request (1).
3. The same information provided at local authority level and at national level. If available, please provide school-level data.
Response
a. SQA National Qualifications
National data on pupils achieving five or more awards at SCQF Level 6 or above in National Qualifications is available in table 5 of the supplementary tables in the Summary Statistics for Attainment and Initial Leaver Destinations publication (SSAILD).
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.Local Authority Level data has not been produced relating to five or more awards, but is available for one or more award in table N2.1 of the supplementary tables (same link as above).
School level data generally does not exist for this measure, but was produced for 2023-24 only in response to an earlier customer request. That data is available in the attached spreadsheet. School level data has not been produced for earlier years for this measure. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have the information for the 2022-23 back to 2019-20.

All of the information you have requested is available in the attached spreadsheet. Note that in the spreadsheet 2024 corresponds to academic year 2023-24, 2023 corresponds to academic year 2022-23 etc.
