Information requested

1. A breakdown of Vacant and Derelict Land Fund (VDLF) allocations to all Scottish local authorities from 2018 to the present. Please include:

  • Local authority name
  • Financial year
  • Amount awarded

2. For each local authority, a list of the specific sites that received VDLF funding, including:

  • Site name and location
  • Project title or description
  • Year(s) of funding
  • Total funding allocated per site
  • Purpose of the project (e.g., site investigation, remediation, redevelopment)

3. Any relevant national summaries or databases that show how VDLF has been distributed geographically or by project type.

Response

A response to your request for a breakdown of VDLF allocations to all Scottish Local Authorities from 2018 including Local Authority name, financial year, and amount awarded, can be found at Annex A below, noting that the 2025/26 allocations have not yet been approved by Scottish Government Ministers.

The data relating to specific sites of each local authority that received VDLF funding can be found in the attached document.

I can confirm that there are no national summaries or databases that show how VDLF has been distributed geographically or by project type.
