In response to an FOI request  (reference 202500472337) , asking for “correspondence since 7 October 2023 referring to the protest group Palestine Action” you supplied papers including – “Extract of CONTEST Health check Q1 2025” Which reads

“Extract of CONTEST Health check Q1 2025.

Police Scotland CT Intelligence continue to monitor and assess the thresholds of Palestine Action Groups activity in Scotland. The group continue to be active in causing criminal disruption, most notably the damage to the Trump Turnberry golf resort in March 2025.”

This was very helpful , but could I ask for this further information on the document

Who/which government Ministers/Officials/Departments – were sent the “CONTEST Health Check” which contained this extract?

1. The document in question was sent to officials as part of wider meeting papers. No Scottish Ministers were sent this document.

2. The meeting was attended by Scottish Government officials at SCS and non-SCS grades.

The attendees were:

  •  Donald McGillivray - Director Safer Communities
  •  Penelope Curtis - Deputy Director Safe and Secure Scotland
  •  Michael Healy - Deputy Director, Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response
  •  some junior officials from Safe and Secure Scotland Division

1. The document was prepared for the meeting by officials from Safe and Secure Scotland Division within Scottish Government.
