Information requested
You requested details please of work carried out on the A90 Brechin by-pass since 2015.
You also asked for a breakdown of the reason, timing, duration and cost for all inspection and repair work carried out on the route between the St Ann’s and Keithock junctions from 2015 to present.
To include details of closures/contraflows put in place during each inspection or repair project.
You later confirmed you required details of both the visual condition surveys and the 7-day safety inspections.
Response
Transport Scotland has contracts in place with Operating Companies to ensure Scottish trunk roads are safe, efficient and well managed.
From 16 August 2022 to present, the area between St Ann’s and Keithock junctions is maintained by our Operating Company, Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland.
Please see Annexes A and B to this response for details of work carried out between the St Ann’s and Keithock junctions from 16 August 2022 to the present day including a breakdown of the reason, timing, duration and cost for all inspection and repair work carried out and details of closures/contraflows put in place during each inspection or repair project.
While we aim to provide information wherever possible, Transport Scotland does not hold some of the information you have requested. Between 2015 and 15 August 2022, the section between St Ann’s and Keithock junctions was maintained by BEAR Scotland on behalf of Transport Scotland, and as a result, information for this period is limited. Please refer to Annexes C and D of this response for the information currently available.
This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested.
This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
