Documentation regarding space at Victoria Quay occupied by the nursery: FOI release

Information requested

All documentation, correspondence, teams messages, meeting notes, emails, internal memos, briefings, or any other materials relating to any decisions made by Scottish Government Estates teams (for example Workplace, Procurement or Property) or any other Scottish Government directorates, departments, or levels of management, concerning the repurposing, reallocation, or closure of the space at Victoria Quay (VQ) currently or formerly occupied by the nursery. The timeline of this should be between 2020 and 2025, inclusive of the date of this request.

To help, but this should not be treated as a non-exhaustive list, I am requesting:

1. All internal communications (including emails and Teams/chat messages) discussing the future use of the nursery space at VQ;

2. Any business case(s), options appraisals, or strategy papers relating to changes in use of that space;

3. Records of meetings where the use of the nursery space was discussed (including minutes, agendas, attendance, and action points);

4. Any consultation documents or records of stakeholder engagement regarding the closure or repurposing of the nursery space;

5. Any correspondence between Scottish Government officials and the nursery provider relating to the termination, non-renewal, or change in lease/use of the nursery premises.

6. Any correspondence between Scottish Government officials and anyone else relating to the termination, non-renewal, or change in lease/use of the nursery premises.

An exemption under section 39(1) of FOISA – endangerment to health or safety – applies to some of the information provided. The provision of floors plans of buildings is sensitive information and creates a risk to the health, safety and security of those attending these buildings.
