Information requested
Can you please give me information on grants given to community groups on the Isle of Cumbrae from the Climate Challenge Fund. Can you tell me the amounts granted and to which groups. Is it possible for you to tell me what conditions were attached to these grants.
Response
The answer to your question is that one project from the Isle of Cumbrae was awarded funding as set out below:
£48,275 was awarded to Isle of Cumbrae Initiative Community Company in 2016 for the Low Carbon Cumbrae project. The aim of the project was to cut the amount of waste food and glass going to landfill on the mainland.
Keep Scotland Beautiful were the Scottish Government's delivery partner for this fund. The Scottish Government does not hold project documentation for Climate Challenge Fund projects prior to 2020 and, as such, cannot provide the conditions of the grant. However, all grant applications were subject to the relevant due diligence checks and all grants were monitored to ensure they delivered against their objectives.
