Reaching 100% (R100) programme completion dates: FOI release

Information requested

An update on the expected completion year of the full rollout across Scotland of superfast broadband.

(Please can you also provide the expected completion date by region).

Response

The Reaching 100% (R100) programme comprises of three key strands of activity: the over £600 million R100 contracts, the R100 Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme and continued commercial coverage.

As of 28 July 2025, the dates for the expected completion of the three R100 contracts by region are:

South Lot - 2025

Central Lot - 2026

North Lot – 2028

There is currently no set completion date for build utilising the R100 Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme, with the only date stipulation being that a connection should be built within 12 months of a voucher request being approved.

Delivery completion dates for commercial build are not within Scottish Government’s control and are determined by each individual supplier.
