The annual farebox revenue including reimbursements for concession fares for public transportation.

The annual operating costs (salaries, fuel etc) excluding financial charges and depreciation for public transportation.

Response

The Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for because the annual farebox revenue is commercial revenue, and is held by the operator. Please note that Scottish operators are commercial entities and not in public ownership and therefore we do not hold this information. This also applies to the operating costs you have requested.

The Scottish Government do reimburse operators for concessionary travel, however, we do not hold data on what these costs would be broken down by local authority level. Some services travel through multiple local authorities as part of their route and the data we hold covers payments to operators but not on a geographical basis.

This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
