Information requested
Any correspondence sent from officials or Ministers at HM Treasury to Ministers or officials in the Scottish Government (or vice versa) relating to the winter fuel payment since 1 January 2025. For clarity, this should include but not be limited to all emails with the phrases “winter fuel payment”, “WFP”, “Pension Age Winter Heating Payment” and “PAWHP”
Response
Some of the information you have requested in enclosed in Annex A of this letter. Please note, exemptions under s27(1), s28(1), s29(1)(a) and S38(1)(b) of FOISA apply to some of the information requested. The reasons for why these exemptions apply are explained in Annex B of this letter.
