Sustainable Growth Commission report email chain: FOI release

Information requested

This is a follow up request to a previous FOI response. Your ref: FOI/18/02078 The above referenced FOI response includes an email chain labelled “Document 1” in which Alistair Paddison asks for a response to be drafted to an email sent to Derek Mackay on 9th July 2018 with the subject line “Growth Commission report”.

Please provide the following information:

(1.) The response which was drafted for Derek Mackay and the actual reply he ended up sending.

(2.) For the period 9th July 2018 - date, all correspondence between anyone inside the Scottish Government (including Ministers, Civil Servants, Special Advisers, and Press Officers) and the same person who sent the email to Derek Mackay included in “Document 1”.

Response

For part 1, I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested as Annex 1. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption(s) under section(s) s.38(1)(b) (personal information)] of FOISA applies to that information.

For part 2, while our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not hold the information you have requested as following a search of our records no information has been found. This is a formal notice under section 17(1 ) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
