Police Remediable Service Statements: FOI release

Information requested

With a number of outstanding ABS RSS calculations still to be provided to serving Police Scotland officers, please can you advise, as of deadline dates, 31 March 2025 and 31 May 2025 the following figures:

1) What percentage of calculations remaining to be provided to officers, were to officers with prior service having transferred from England and Wales, to a Scottish forces.

2) In comparison, please can you provide the same percentage of those outstanding, for officers who have service solely with Scottish forces.

3) Are you able to provide as a percentage of the outstanding calculations left to be provided, how many are for officers not of Scottish origin.

Response

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. This is in relation to question 3 of your request as SPPA do not hold information relating to officers' nationality.

The response to your other questions are below:

1) Of the ABS calculations remaining to be provided to officers, 36.5% are England and Wales interforce transfers.

2) 5.5% of the ABS calculations outstanding are for officers who have service solely with Scottish forces.
