Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

You asked for the following information:

I would like to ask two questions in relation the above act with regards to the amendments to the police pension and meetings with HMRC:

1) How many SPPA employees attended meetings with HMRC to discuss the calculations for the remedy to be paid?

2) What grading were these employees who met with HMRC?

3) What was the dissemination process internally for SPPA following these meetings, for example, was there an internal meeting to discuss the outcome of the meetings with HMRC?

Response

1) Six employees have met with HMRC to discuss aspects of remedy calculations.

2) Individual grades withheld as this could identify colleagues, however the grades of the individuals ranged through B-Band and C-Band.

3) The outcome of these meetings was disseminated internally through routine cascade.
