Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
Information requested
Detailed data regarding road traffic collisions (RTCs) that have occurred on the A90 Dual Carriageway, located in Angus, Scotland between Moatmill (56.51685° N, 2.94517° W) and Happas (56.55652° N, 2.92677° W), from the earliest available date up to the present. Data for both north/west bound would be appreciated.
After reviewing similar freedom of information requests, I couldn’t find anything with specific data for this stretch of road, However I did find data for a single junction between the years of 2021-2024. My request is asking for much more data.
Specifically, I would like to request:
- The total number of reported RTCs on this stretch of road.
- The total number of fatalities resulting from these RTCs.
- If available, a breakdown of the data including:
- Date of each RTC
- Severity (e.g. fatal, serious, slight)
- Number of vehicles involved
- Number of casualties
- Weather/road conditions (if recorded)
- Estimated Speed of collision (if recorded)
