You asked for the precise text of the question [and any sub-clauses to it] put to employees and from which government extracts and publishes the data on the protected characteristic of ‘gender reassignment’ [or ‘trans’], including the overall number and any sub-sets for the most recent year data has been gathered.

Response

The wording of the question asked of employees on the Scottish Government’s HR System for diversity monitoring is aligned with the Scottish Government’s Sex, gender identity, trans status - data collection and publication: guidance - gov.scot.
