The most recent terms of reference, meeting minutes, agendas, briefings and papers for the Oncology Task and Finish Group for meetings between October 2024 and 6 May 2025.

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because exemptions under section(s) s.38(1)(b) (personal information), s.29(1)(a) (policy formulation) and (section 33(1)(b) (commercial interests) of FOISA applies to that information. The reasons why those exemptions apply are explained in the Annex to this letter.

Annex – Reasons for not providing information

Personal Information

Exemptions under section s.38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA apply to some of the information you have requested. This means that names and contact details for civil servants and NHS employees have been removed.

These exemptions are not subject to the ‘public interest test,’ so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.

Policy Formulation

Exemptions under s.29(1)(a) (policy formulation) of FOISA apply to some of the information you have requested. This means that information regarding the active development or formulation of a government policy has been removed.

Commercial Interest

An exemption under section 33(1)(b) (commercial interest) applies to some of the information you have requested. This means that information in which disclosure would be likely to prejudice the commercial interest of an organisation has been removed.
