Funding for Rapid Rehousing Welcome Centres: FOI release

Information requested

1. Total Scottish Government spending on Rapid Rehousing Welcome Centres in financial years 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25.

2. How many Rapid Rehousing Welcome Centres has funding been given to in each of these years.

3. If available, a breakdown of spending and number of Rapid Rehousing Welcome Centres funded by local authority.

Response

1. The Scottish Government has provided a total of £980,761 of funding towards the costs of Rapid Rehousing Welcome Centres (RRWCs) over the financial years 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023- 24 and 2024-25.

2. In financial years 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24, funding was provided to support two RRWCs each year – one in Glasgow and one in Edinburgh. In 2024-25 funding was provided to support an RRWC in Edinburgh. An RRWC did not operate in Glasgow over winter 2024-25.

3. A breakdown of spending and number of Rapid Rehousing Welcome Centres funded is detailed in the table below:
