Meetings held on specific dates between Scottish Public Pensions Agency and HMRC: FOI release

Information requested

In relation to meetings held on 06/06/24, 29/02/24, 25/03/24, 24/04/24, 04/06/24, 16/07/24, 05/09/24, 23/10/24, 26/11/24, 16/12/24, 21/01/25 and 27/02/25 between SPPA and HMRC:

1. Pre and post meeting electronic correspondence

2. Delegates hand written or electronic notes

3. Agendas for meetings

4. A copy of the attendees lists for each meeting

5. Copies of minutes or meting summaries

6. Copies of PowerPoints

7. Spreadsheets etc used during the meetings

Response

1. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because the following exemption under FOISA applies: 38(1)(b) - Third party personal data. Section 38(1)(b) of The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) exempts the personal data of a third party in order to protect the individual’s privacy. Any electronic correspondence pre or post meeting relates to individual member queries. To protect individual privacy, SPPA are unable to share this correspondence.

2. There are no hand written or electronic notes recorded as part of these meetings.

3. No agendas were prepared or followed for these meetings.

4. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because the following exemption under FOISA applies: 38(1)(b) - Third party personal data. Section 38(1)(b) of The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) exempts the personal data of a third party in order to protect the individual’s privacy. To protect staff privacy SPPA do not provide the names of colleagues below Executive Team level. The only SPPA employee in attendance was the Tax ABS Evaluation Team Leader.

5. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because the following exemption under FOISA applies: 38(1)(b) - Third party personal data. Section 38(1)(b) of The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) exempts the personal data of a third party in order to protect the individual’s privacy. No generalised minutes or meeting summaries exist. The only summaries noted relate to individual member queries. To protect individual privacy, SPPA are unable to share these.

6. No meeting packs, including any PowerPoint presentations, were circulated or used for these calls.
