Information requested
All documentation held by the Scottish Government that mentions Sir Tom Hunter, or is from/to him, including correspondence (including internal), minutes/notes from meetings, or briefings, from the last three months.

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested.
Some of the information included in the scope of your request were news articles included in a media digest and is publicly available via media outlets. Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you. If, however, you do not have internet access to obtain this information from these websites, then please contact me again and I will send you a paper copy.
Exemptions under sections, S.30(b)(i), S.30(b)(ii), S.30(c), S.33(1)(b) and S.38(1)(b) of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested. These exemptions have been applied as some of the information relates to formulation of policy, commercial interests, public affairs and personal information.
These exemptions are subject to the 'public interest test'. Therefore, taking account of all the circumstances of this case, we have considered if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption. We have found that, on balance, the public interest lies in favour of upholding the exemption. We recognise that there is some public interest in release because the individual is a well known public figure. However, this is outweighed by the public interest in in policy development and this individual is not the focus of the documents where the exemptions have been applied.
