Information requested

Market evidence data on private rents collected by the government for properties in the EH3 postcode area from the past 12 months from the date of this request (8 March 2025). Specifically:

• Data on private rent values for properties in EH3, including the category of the dwelling (e.g., number of bedrooms), frequency of rent and postcode.
• Any available breakdowns by property type or size, including median, average, or range of rental prices by postcode.

You also requested information on any available breakdowns by property type or size, including median, average, or range of rental prices by postcode. While our aim is to provide information where possible, in this instance, we do not have any available breakdowns for the date range or partial post code requested. This is because Rent Service Scotland's collection year is set in legislation and covers the period between 1 October to the 30 September. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
