Response

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested.

The Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have asked for because some hard-copy information relating to year 2004-05 of the Teacher Induction Scheme has not been retained. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have this part of the information you have requested.

The Preference Waiver Payment (PWP) was introduced to the Teacher Induction Scheme for the 2004-05 cohort of probationers. From 2005-06 to 2008-09, the value of the PWP was £6,000 for both primary and secondary probationers. From 2009-10 the PWP remained at £6,000 for primary probationers but increased to £8,000 for secondary probationers.
