Information requested

Agendas, minutes, emails and any other relevant documents about any meetings attended by representatives of Pladis, Scottish Enterprise, and then Deputy First Minister John Swinney in 2022 regarding the company's plans for the site of the former McVities factory in Tollcross, Glasgow.

Response

An exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA applies to some the information you have requested.

This exemption applies to some of the information requested because it is personal data of a third party, i.e. names and contact details, and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Article 5(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation and in section 34(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018. This exemption is not subject to the ‘public interest test’, therefore we are not required to consider if public interest in disclosing the information outweighs public interest in applying the exemption. This exemption pertains has been applied, where appropriate, to documents 1 -7. Further exemption has been applied to document 8 as this information is out of scope of the request.
