Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
Information requested
For the period 9th May 2024 - date, please provide:
(1.) All correspondence between the Minister for Public Finance Ivan McKee (or his office) and William Thomson or Kairin van Sweeden, both of Scotonomics.
(2.) Any briefing materials, notes, or minutes relating to meetings between Ivan McKee and William Thomson or Kairin van Sweeden.
Response
For point (1) I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested in Annex 1, 2 and 3. An exemption under section s.38(1)(b) of FOISA, personal information of a third party applies to some the information you have requested.
For point (2), while our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not hold the information you have requested. The reasons why we do not have the information are explained in the Annex 4 to this letter.
