Information requested
1) As of 10.02.25 how many former police officers have been issued with their Remedy Statements?
2) As of 10.02.25 how many Remedy Statements are still to be issued to these officers?
3) In respect of officers from Q2, how many do you expect to issue by 31.03.25, and how many are expected to be delayed?
4) Have any former officers already been informed of an expected delay?
5) As of w/c 10 Feb 25 how many Remedy Statements are planned to be issued in each week going forward; both up until 31.03.25 and beyond where relevant?
6) As of 10 Feb 25 how many officers have submitted their Remedy Statement choice to SPPA, and how many have received additional payments?
7) What plans does SPPA have regarding failure to meet the 31 March deadline?
Response
1) As of 10.02.25 108 former police officers have been issued with their Remedy Statements.
2) As of 10.02.25 approx. 5,000 Remedy Statements are still to be issued to these Officers.
3) In respect of Officers from Q2, it is unknown at this point in time, how many Remedy statements will be issued by 31.03.25, and how many are expected to be delayed. SPPA’s position will be made available in due course.
4) There has been no general communication to former Officers informing of an expected delay. The member website will be updated as the position becomes clearer.
5) That information is not yet available.
6) As of 10 Feb 25, 96 Officers have submitted their Remedy Statement choice to SPPA, and 95 have been paid.
7) The Pension Regulator will be notified of SPPA’s position regarding failure to meet the 31 March deadline.
