Bus replacement scheme funding: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.


Information requested

1. Detailed breakdown of the funding allocated for the RAIB bus replacement scheme from East Kilbride to Glasgow Central.

2. Confirmation of whether the costs associated with the bus replacement scheme have been included in the overall funding for transportation projects by the Scottish Government.

3. Any correspondence or documentation related to the approval and funding of the RAIB bus replacement scheme.

Response

For points 1 and 3 of your request

Whilst our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not hold the information you have requested. This is because the alternative transport plan, which has been put in place for the duration of the necessary improvement works on the East Kilbride to Glasgow line is being managed by ScotRail.

This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.

For point 2 of your request

We can confirm that an estimated cost of providing alternative passenger transport has been included, by Network Rail, in the Anticipated Final Cost for delivering this project on behalf of Transport Scotland.
