Freedom of Information publications and reasons for non-publication: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

A full list of all FOISA request reference numbers for 2021-2025 including the date of publication of the response on the Scottish Government Website, and a separate list of all FOISA publications which have been responded to by the requestor but not published and the reason for nonpublication.

Response

I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested.

Some of the information you have requested is available on the Scottish Government website - Publications - gov.scot. Publications can be filtered to show FOI/EIR releases between 2021 and 2025 where you can find the reference number and date of publication. Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you.

In the attached spreadsheet I enclose a copy of all FOISA/EIR reference numbers where a response has been issued but not published on the website.

Neither FOISA or EIRs requires Scottish public authorities to publish their responses to requests for information. The Scottish Government considers that it is in the interests of openness and transparency to publish responses where information is being disclosed. Recorded reasons for non-publication have been provided. In all other cases, decisions not to publish are done on a case-by-case basis.

About FOI

The Scottish Government is committed to publishing all information released in response to Freedom of Information requests. View all FOI responses at https://www.gov.scot/foi-responses.
