The above information is taken from the Scottish Government’s Procurement Hub for each of the last five financial years where the data is available (2018-19 to 2022-23), Vendor Category commodity as the identifier with the Internal Spend Category Description used as to describe what the spend was for, which is the lowest line level detail description that we have available on the Scottish Governments Procurement information Hub. The data for financial year 2023/2024 will be available in the future. If we were to provide any detail lower than what is shown, then due to the volume of transactional data that would have to be reviewed and validated we would breach the costs limits of £600 for completing this FOI response.

Should you want actual descriptions of the purchases made, you may, wish to consider reducing the scope of your request in order that the costs can be brought below £600. For example, you could reduce the time period, as this would allow us to limit the searches that would require to be conducted. You may also find it helpful to look at the Scottish Information Commissioner’s ‘Tips for requesting information under FOI and the EIRs’ on his website at: http://www.itspublicknowledge.info/YourRights/Tipsforrequesters.aspx.

The attachment also includes spend with the Civil Service Learning – KPMG. This is a UK Crown Commercial Service agreement that is open to all UK public sector organisations.
