Information requested
Breakdown on the number of extension requests made during the period the scheme has been operational, along with the percentage of those refused by the government with refusal reasons categorised.
Response
The answer to your question is since the launch of the Home Energy Scotland (HES) Grant and Loan Scheme on 1 December 2022, 163 extension requests have been submitted to Scottish Government for consideration and 13 have been refused.
The percentage of extension requests that were refused from 1 December 2022 – 15 November 2024 is: 7.97%.
The reasons these extension requests were not approved are:
- No work has started on installation
- No completion date provided
- Application has already expired
- Sufficient time remains on current application
- Installation date planned for before end of previously granted extension
