Response
1a. The current telephony supplier for SPPA is Netcall. The Netcall contract expires in Summer 2026.
1b. The SPPA telephony system is maintained by Netcall.
1c. SPPA use the call and email handling platform provided by Netcall: Converse. We also use MS Teams as we’re part of the Scottish Government and this is their current default internal communications tool. We do not manage this platform locally. Outlook exchange is used for emails, again managed by Central Government and not SPPA.
2a, b & c. The SPPA does not have the information you have asked for because these licences are not managed by the SPPA. They are managed by Scottish Government centrally. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the SPPA does not have the information you have requested. However, you may wish to contact the Scottish Government to request this information. Details on how to request information can be found here: https://www.gov.scot/about/contact-information/how-torequest- information/
3a. SPPA use both on premise (Scottish Government) and cloud services.
3b. On premise hardware is provisioned via Scottish Government contracts. Server hardware is Dell with Laptops being HP.
3c. As SPPA utilise managed services we have various cloud providers per system. Netcall, Heywood, Epicor, Oracle and Pulsant are the current providers.
3d. The SPPA annual spend on cloud storage is £120,984.05
3e. Internal data is backed up as part of the Scottish Government IT provision. External cloud data is backed up by system and cloud providers as a managed service. Providers for telephony, finance and pen admin systems are Netcall, Epicor and Heywood respectively.
