Cabinet Secretary for Culture & External Affairs overseas visits: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

Information requested

The travel itineraries/schedule of meetings that took place, and minutes of meetings that took place during the following visits:

  • Then First Minister Alex Salmond’s visit to Paris – 18-19 November 2012
  • Then Cabinet Secretary for Culture & External Affairs Fiona Hyslop’s visit to Brussels – 26 November 2013
  • Then Cabinet Secretary for Culture & External Affairs Fiona Hyslop’s visit to Denmark – 9 December 2013

Response

I enclose a copy of the visit reports for the visits to Paris and Copenhagen. I have been unable to locate itineraries or minutes of meetings for the Brussels visit in our records; it is possible they have been deleted given the time that has elapsed. However, I can confirm that the purpose of the then Cabinet Secretary’s visit to Brussels was to attend Scotland House Brussels’ St Andrew’s Day reception.
