Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002
Information requested
Registration, Make and Model of all vehicles currently on your fleet list and all vehicles sold between 14/11/2022 - 05/09/2023.
Response
We are able to provide some of the information you have requested, however exemptions apply to other aspects of your request.
I enclose a list of all make and models of all vehicles currently on the Scottish Government fleet and also the make and models of all vehicles sold between 14/11/2022 and 05/09/2023.
An exemption under section 39(1) of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested regarding the registration numbers of both current and disposed vehicles.
This is a formal notice under section 39(1) of FOISA that the disclosure of information would, or would likely to, endanger the physical or mental health or the safety of a group of an individual.
Our application of this exemption is subject to the 'public interest test'. Taking account of all the circumstances of this case, we have considered if the public interest in disclosing the information now outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption. We have concluded that, on balance, the public interest lies in favour of upholding the exemption, since disclosing the registration numbers of vehicles on the Scottish Government fleet and those that have been disposed would or would likely to, endanger the physical or mental health or the safety of an individual.
