Total number of expenses claimed by the First Minister: FOI release

Information requested

  1. Could I please receive the total number of expenses claimed by the First Minister in the years 2020- 2021, 2021-2022 and 2022 – 31 June 2023?
  2. Could I also receive the total expenses claimed by the FM office as a whole?


1. Details of all Ministerial engagements and expenses are proactively published by the Scottish Government, including the costs of travel and accommodation. The information can be accessed at the below link:

2. This has been interpreted as meaning travel and subsistence claims for 2020-2021, 2021-2022 and 2022 – 31 June 2023 and the total is £1,262.64 for members of the First Minister's Private Office.
