Information requested

You asked for the current guidance for Scottish Government staff on having TikTok installed on:

a. Devices provided for work use
b. Personal devices

Response

The Scottish Government prohibits the installation and use of the TikTok application on official Scottish Government devices. There are technical processes in place to block installation and usage of TikTok on corporate devices.

The Scottish Government does not provide guidance to staff on what is permissible to install on their own personal (privately owned) devices.
