The minuted details of telephone calls/ Team/Zoom, minuted and minutes of meetings etc and any other information between the Scottish Government's Professional Regulatory Adviser and the Medical Council of Ireland (MCI) or the Irish Medical Council relating to Muftah Salem Eljamel.

Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we are not required to provide information which is already reasonably accessible to you. If, however, you do not have internet access to obtain this information from the website listed, then please contact me again and I will send you a paper copy.

I have identified that an additional email should have been included in the response to FOI 202200329591 which I have attached to this response at Annex A. I apologise for this oversight.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption(s) under section(s) 38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies to that information. The reasons why that exemption applies is because it contains personally identifiable information.

In relation to the “minuted details of telephone calls/ Team/Zoom, minuted and minutes of meetings etc’’, I can confirm that:

• The planned video meeting did not take place as connection could not be established between the respective electronic systems (zoom, teams), instead a telephone call was arranged.
• A telephone discussion did take place, however no minutes or notes were taken, there being no such requirement for officials undertaking routine business.
• There has been no further contact between the Professional Adviser and the Medical Council of Ireland since the response to FOI 202200329591.
