How many foi requests by the media have not been provided over past two years? I.e. how many exempted due to cost or otherwise?

Outwith FOISA, you may find it helpful to note that there are factors which may affect the accuracy of this figure. While analyses of requesters by type may be helpful to an authority, recording of this is not a statutory obligation. The requester type (such as a member of the media) has no bearing on how we process their request.

When an FOI request is logged onto the case management system, it is not always obvious that the request is from a journalist and the requester type field is not always completed.
