How many properties are still to be connected under the Scottish Government's R100 scheme?

For the purpose of this query, you have confirmed that you are specifically referring to properties still to be connected through the £600million R100 contracts. As of 12th of December 2022 there are 100,516 premises remaining to be connected through the R100 Contracts.

Can you breakdown how many properties are to be connected by (i) Scottish Parliamentary region and (ii) Local Authority area?

The figures provided below are accurate as of 12th of December 2022.

Please note that the figures below total 114, 869 as this number is the total connections number of properties to be connected through R100 contracts. The figure of 100,516 are properties that have yet to receive a connection.

Finally, can you outline what the longest wait for any property and in what area is to be connected in relation to the R100 scheme? 

The contracts are delivered in phases. There are number of exchange areas with an expected delivery date of March 2028. However, it is not possible for us to say with certainty which of these will be last as this will be determined by our contract deliver partner, Openreach.

For reference, we expect build for each of the three contracts to conclude in the years set out below:

  • Central: 2023/24
  • South: 2024/25
  • North: 2027/28
