Fatalities and serious injuries on the A9: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

From 2009 to 2022 (current date) may I request the total number of fatalities and serious injuries on the A9.

Could the information be broken down year by year.

Ie 2009-2010
2010-2011

And so on up until October 2022 please.

Response

The following table provides the information you requested. From summer 2019, Police Scotland introduced a new system for recording the severity of casualties in road accidents. This meant that it was not possible to compare the number of serious casualties with years prior to 2020. However, I have included estimated adjusted figures that can give you some idea of the differences between years.
