Response
I can confirm that the expenditure referred to within your Freedom of Information (FOI) request relates to the purchase of eleven HONDA EU22i 2.2KW portable generators that were designated for issue to members of the Scottish Government Regional Resilience Co-ordination Teams.
More specifically, in the event of a failure of the Electricity Transmission System, this will provide the respective staff with operating resilience to undertake their role supporting partners responding to any potential crisis.
Of the eleven generators purchased, three (£3757) were returned leaving a total expenditure of £9752.
