“Please confirm whether the Scottish Government plans to implement the planned national marketing campaign for this scheme and if so, when the planned national marketing campaign is going to be in operation.”

Response

I can confirm the national marketing campaign to promote the Young Persons’ Free Bus Travel Scheme commenced on Tuesday 20 September with a news release and advertising on buses. From 27 September, this will be further boosted by advertising on: national TV and on demand channels; radio networks; and digital and social media channels.

The campaign will conclude on 6 November.

A marketing toolkit is available on the freebus.scot website for partners and stakeholder to access promotional assets and share their support during the campaign. You can view the TV ad on the homepage of freebus.scot and on the Transport Scotland YouTube channel now.
