A77 Carlock Wall costs breakdown: EIR release

"Please can you supply the costs/figures.

1: Costs that have already been paid to contractors for works relating to Carlock Wall.
2: Costs that have been invoiced.
3: Costs for the completion of the FULL project at "CARLOCK WALL" works on the A77 South of Ballantrae that have yet to be invoiced.

I am looking for the FULL costs to date, for example all the scoping and investigations relating to the project,design, the traffic management and the accounts settled so far for construction along with the projected figures to finish the works.

I am not looking for a detailed list of accounts to each company that has worked on the site, Just the total cost to date and the total cost to finish even if the to finish value is a estimate.

I would also like for the costs of the traffic management team for the traffic lights and the breakdown/recovery team on the carlock wall site to be added into the Final total project cost."

As the information you have requested is 'environmental information' for the purposes of the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (EIRs), we are required to deal with your request under those Regulations. We are applying the exemption at section 39(2) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA), so that we do not also have to deal with your request under FOISA.

This exemption is subject to the 'public interest test'. Therefore, taking account of all the circumstances of this case, we have considered if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption. We have found that, on balance, the public interest lies in favour of upholding the exemption, because there is no public interest in dealing with the same request under two different regimes. This is essentially a technical point and has no material effect on the outcome of your request.
