Information requested

The cost of the R100 programme from 1st January, 2022, to the present day.

Response

Based on the information that the Scottish Government has, the cost of the R100 programme is £21,247,536.40 comprising of the R100 programme contracts and the R100 Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme (R100 SBVS).

The cost of the R100 programme contracts to the Scottish Government is £19,665,775 covering the period of 1st January 2022 to 31st March 2022.

The cost of the R100 SBVS vouchers to the Scottish Government is £1,581,761.40 covering the period of 1st January 2022 to 2nd September 2022.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. The reasons why we don’t have the information are explained in the Annex to this letter.

REASONS FOR NOT PROVIDING INFORMATION


The Scottish Government does not have all of the information you have asked for because costs of the R100 contracts are submitted by BT to the Scottish Government in arrears. R100 contracts costs have not been submitted covering the period 1st April, 2022 to 2nd September, 2022.

This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have all of the information you have requested.
