Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

1) The Scottish Government "gross electricity consumption for renewables" calculations for Q4 2021 and Q1 2022.

Response

The renewable electricity target year was 2020. The Scottish Government is waiting on final consumption figures to be able to calculate the equivalent for 2021 and 2022. We will receive the final data for 2021 in December 2022 and will update the page in early 2023. The final data for 2022 will be available in December 2023.

Provisional updates are not being provided as the target year has been reported but we will continue to monitor figures going forward.
