For the cost of the NHS Scotland Annual Conference held at the Press & Journal Arena Aberdeen, which took place on the 20th, 21st & 22nd of June.

The answer to your question is as follows:

While some peripheral costs are still being finalised, the cost of running the three-day NHS Scotland Event 2022 at the P&J Live is expected to be £278,743. This is made up of £403,216 costs offset by exhibitor, sponsor and commercial delegate income of £124,473. Costs are broken down as follows:

Venue costs £147,297.00

Catering £70,878.00

Audio Visual £63,667.00

Event management and staffing £48,761.00

Exhibition set up £22,008.00

Event App and Licence* £7,380.00

Supplies and Services** £43,225.00

*The Event App costs relates to the introduction for 2022 of an event app rather than the traditional printed delegate guide for COVID and environmental reasons and will be used again in future years.

**Supplies and service costs include provision of registration system, website content management, provision of coaches for experience days and evening events and other running costs including printing, poster abstract system, e-badges, event insurance and speakers fees.

As you may be aware, the NHS Scotland Event is the leading health event in Scotland for those who provide sustainable high quality health and social care services for the people of Scotland. This was the first in-person NHS Scotland Event since 2019. The Event programme over the three days included the following: four Experience Study Tours hosted by NHS Grampian which took place throughout Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire; four Plenary Sessions; four Mini Plenary Sessions; four ‘In Conversation’ Sessions with key leaders; 24 Parallel Sessions; four Spotlight Sessions; and two Evening Events hosted by the University of Aberdeen and Robert Gordon University.
