Information request and response under the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004.

Information requested

In relation to the Marine Scotland vessel MV Scotia, can you please tell me:

1.  The total number of planned days at sea lost to MV Scotia due to breakdown or technical fault,  within the calendar year 2021 and up to the end of the month of May for the calendar year 2022.  Please display the monthly figures for each calendar year separately.
2.  The total running costs and staffing costs for MV Scotia within the calendar year 2021 and up  to the end of May for the calendar year 2022. Please display the monthly figures for each calendar  year separately.
3.  The total amount of money spent on repairing and maintaining MV Scotia within the calendar year  2021 and up to the end of May for the calendar year 2022. Please display the monthly figures for each calendar year separately.

Response

I enclose a copy of all of the information you requested.  While we have provided what was asked  for, repair and maintenance are general terms and require context.  For example, refit spend will  occur through the year as parts and materials are purchased for the annual refit although the refit  itself occurs once or twice a year and not in each month that spend occurs.
