Gender Recognition Reform Scotland Bill: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.


Information requested

In the Policy memorandum for the Gender Recognition Reform Scotland Bill, paragraph 77 states that the Scottish Government will work with NRS to publish supporting guidance on ‘living in the acquired gender’.

This is a request for information held that relates to this proposal.

Response

The Policy Memorandum, paragraph 77, states "The Scottish Government will work with National Records of Scotland to publish supporting guidance for applicants under the new process. This will provide further information to applicants including on living in the acquired gender."

Guidance will be published to support applicants. This work will commence during the passage of the Bill.
