Response

1. How many of the recommendations from this report have been concluded?

The recommendations of this report were consulted on in 2019, and now form the basis of the Good Governance Steering Group Implementation plan. The analysis of the consultation is available at the attached link: Supporting documents - Good college governance consultation: analysis of responses - gov.scot (www.gov.scot).

2. If any have not yet been progressed, which are these and why has no progress been made?

Some areas of the implementation plan are subject to consultation and legislative chance, and these have been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. However the Good Governance Steering Group has now reconvened with a view to moving forward with the remaining commitments.

3. Has there been any evaluation of the impact of the report recommendations on governance improvements across the College sector? If so, please provide a copy of the evaluation report.

No, there has been no evaluation while the Good Governance Steering Group works to complete this piece of work.
